Sharanya - Care Beyond Cure
We at Sharanya take a holistic approach towards alleviating pain for people who have reached a stage in their illness that’s beyond cure. Under the Hospice of Sharanya the patient will gain peace, happiness, comfort, and receive a dignified departure.
Over 1 million cancer cases are registered in India every year. More than one third of the patients in early stages of cancer and 90% patients in advanced stages of cancer and other life threatening diseases endure severe pain. This is where palliative care comes into picture, we often overlook this aspect of comprehensive cancer care which focuses on alleviating pain and improving quality of life. We at Sharanya are taking steps to increase awareness about palliative and hospice care amongst communities across Karnataka and beyond.

Manjamma Jogathi, first trans woman to be the president of Karnataka Janapada Academy & Tulsi Gowda, an environmentalist who has planted more than 30,000 saplings and looks after the nurseries of the Forest Department were honored with Padma Shri, the country’s fourth highest civilian award by the Government of India.
