Late Sri D.S. Lakshminarayana Setty

After his demise, his life journey and ideals were reminding us to carry on social concern, work to helpless and needy people who are suffering from different problems. On 16th January 2002 a trust was formed with the name D.S.L TRUST ® SHIMOGA. Smt.D.L. Neelamma w/o Late Sri. D.S. Lakshminarayana setty became the first president of the trust. She was also more principled and student of Brahmakumari Eshwariya Viswa Vidyalaya. Whenever she was attending classes and seminars, she was experiencing a gap between keeping promises and making sure it is full filled. She strongly believed that the realization of divinity is only by serving people who are really in need of help. With the above basic foundation D.S.L. trust ® took its service project as below.

Late Smt D.L. Neelamma

At a first phase, trust has taken its pilot project of sharanya serving for critical and advanced terminally ill patients. Unfortunately a shocking incident of demise of Smt. D.L. Neelamma during the year 2016 has made a shade on the total service. As a silverline the activities of DLS Trust and Sharanya is taken over by Sri. A.R. Chandrashekhar Setty of Bangalore.

SRI D.S. LAKSHMINARAYANA SETTY took his birth on 26th July 1927. He is the eldest son of Sri. D.L. Sheshappa Setty and Smt. Jayalakshmamma. The family hails from Davangere. Sri D.S. Lakshminarayana Setty in his life time opted trade and business as his profession. Apart from his profession, he used to respond to Dirge and Mirthis of all the classes of society. He suggested remedies to the worries of the people as if they are his own. He followed this sacred principle until his last breath. Such a generous personality became one with the divinity on 17th August 1995. This great personality lived with a touch of grace. Although his longevity, considered the problems of others as his own and served the people and rendered his heartfelt concern and service to the needy. Hence, in his memory DSL TRUST has started to move in the same direction and pathway.

On an auspicious day of 16th Jan 2002, a trust was formed in the name of DSL TRUST (R) SHIMOGA. Smt. D.L. NEELAMMA W/o Late D.S. LAKSHMINARAYANA Setty became the First president of the trust. She was also more principled and a student of Brahma Kumari Eswariya Vidyalaya. Whenever attending spiritual classes and seminars, she was experiencing a gap between keeping promises and making sure of it. She strongly believed that the realization of divinity is only serving people who are really in need of help. Even after 30 years of spiritual life, she felt a void in her heart and wanted to start something to help the community.

The driving force towards building SHARANYA was her deeply rooted belief that “TRUE DIVINTY LIES IN SERVING COMMON PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED”. During her tenure, Home care service started. A land of 10 Acres was purchased for Trust for the above cause. In patient service started with the available facilities, patient wards have been constructed and full pledge service is made to patients at SHARANYA premises. An awareness is made on hospice and palliative care. She was more involved in patients counselling and compassionate moments with the patients.

Such a driving force made a shade on SHARANYA project on 1st of Oct 2016.

SRI D.H. SHANKARAMURTHY

SRI D.H. SHANKARAMURTHY Sir is a very respectable, kind hearted person working for public interest and helping for their needs. He is our guiding person for Sharanya project right from the day of inseption. He is very much associated with RSS and Bharatiya Janatha Party and served as member of legislative council, education minister and also as chariman and speaker of legislative council of Karnataka. His continous guidence towards Sharanya is a great milestone in building at different phases from 2004-2022.

Late Sri A R Chandrashekar Setty

Sri A R Chandrashekar Setty, he is a resident of Bangalore, Karnataka. He served as senior account officer at VISL Bhadravathi and then as General Manager at KSFC Bangalore. He was a trustee member from the initial days of Sharanya. After the demisal of Smt. D.L Neelamma, he took over the responsibility of leading as president of DSL Trust, Sharanya. During his tenure startup works as inpatient service, critical patients block foundation laying and Laxmi Divne Park with Ayurveda garden. His interest of developing greenery and garden was more towards nature development. Such a great visionary person expired in the year 2021.
